It is important to learn things from a young age. We will visit schools and teach young students how to recycle. With fun ways to learn like reading books and playing games, we hope to make recycling second nature to young children.
On the Road: Educating Children
We are currently doing some interesting research on the relationship between Islam and the environment. By reading the translation of the Quran and conducting interviews, we will come to a reasonably opinionated conclusion. We will keep coming up with interesting links to littering that one may never have thought about!
Gotong Royong: Teamwork
Organized community events will bring together those who care about the environment. We will clean up Kampungs and towns together to show others the beauty of cleanliness, hardwork, and teamwork. If you would like our Gotong Royong to come to you, please contact us. Please note that we are currently only able to organize Gotong Royongs near these areas: Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Ampang Jaya, and Hulu Langat.
Special thanks to Deerfield Academy's Center for Service and Global Citizenship (Massachusetts, USA) for funding through grants.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Littering is a threatening environmental issue in Malaysia. This research-based project is an attempt to bring back cleanliness to many parts of the country. By visiting several towns, embarking on community-based activities, and educating children, we hope to spread awareness about bringing back the natural beauty of our country.
Please visit the "Updates" section to read about all our projects, ongoing research, and community service.
This project started in July 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
